The Right Data Collection Leads to Business Success
THIS book is a whopping 656 pages and here’s the thing, there’s a tool book (next review) that comes with it too.
Do not be thrown off by how thick this book is. Yes, as you read it and feed your brain, you will also feel like you are lifting light weights at the same time.
I could not put this book down. Apart from the fact that there was an upcoming interview with the author (video will be uploaded onto our m360.sim.edu.sg Web site), I was pulled in by Dr Elgersma’s fluid writing on what may be perceived as a somewhat dry topic.
Data is extremely important in today’s business environment and this book could not have come at a more apt time.
This book’s author, Dr Elgersma, is no newbie to the field as he is director of strategic analysis at Friesland-Campina, one of the world’s leading dairy companies. He is also an alumnus of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Vienna, Austria so saying he is an expert in the field is an understatement.
Anyone who is concerned about improving their business by developing business strategies that work, needs to understand how important getting the right data is. More importantly, turning that data into business intelligence that can drive and give you a competitive advantage to develop those winning strategies. If this is something you are interested in, then I would highly recommend picking this up as soon as possible.
