Products: Not Just Gorgeous but Absolutely Delicious too!
June 1, 2018
I have been Caked and I am proud of it. But I am getting ahead of myself. There are numerousbakers in Singapore how ever, I have found many were just beautiful cakes with minimal taste and exorbitant prices. That is until I heard about Caked!
Caked comprises of a brother-sister duo. The brother is the brains behind the operations whilst the sister (Mrs Seraphina Theo) is the creative genius behind the recipes and cake designs. Some of the more popular flavours include lemon blueberry cake with lemon curd Swiss meringue buttercream, chocolate cake with fresh raspberries and chocolate ganache, and rosemary cake with lavender Swiss meringue butter cream. Excuse me whilst I wipe my drool.
I was fortunate enough to get a special cake for my birthday and it was as delicious as it was gorgeous. The cake tasted rich and flavourful because Mrs Theo only uses the best quali-ty ingredients. The best part was the cake design. She remembered that I have a Wonder Woman outfit and she designed the cake as such. It was absolutely adorable and I received many curious glances when I carried the cake home.
The smallest cakes are round and are about five-inches with four layers and these cakes can feed about eight to 10 people. The largest according to her is whatever can fit the door. The price ranges between S$50 to about S$300 for birthday or celebratory cakes. She also makes cupcakes and the minimum order is about 12 cupcakes with each cupcake selling for about S$4. Themed dessert tables cost about S$450 onwards for basic set-up and she will need about one to two weeks’ notice if it is just dessert tables. However, if you are looking for something more elaborate with backdrop, theme set-ups, and props rental, prices will be higher as she will need to source for them so she will need slightly longer prep time too, approximately three weeks to a month. You can check out most of her amazing creations on Instagram or Facebook by looking for her handle @cakedbyseraphina. Better yet, you can give her a call (+65 9672-4583) to discuss further.
