In this first clip, Ms Rachel Heng shares about how she became a writer and deals with the pressure of writing and releasing her very first book.
MS Rachel Heng is a Singaporean writer who is pursuing an MFA in Fiction and Screenwriting at the highly selective Michener Center for Writers, where she is currently a James A. Michener Fellow. Her short stories have been widely published in literary journals such as The Offing, Praire Schooner, and the minnesota review. Her fiction has won Prairie Schooner’s Jane Geske Award, was nominated for the Pushcart Prize and has been recommended by The Huffington Post. Suicide Club is her first novel.
